Hyundai Santa Fe vs. Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue: Compare Crossover SUVs

Hyundai Santa Fe vs. Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue: Compare Crossover SUVs in Lufkin, near Huntington and Crocket, TX

With its roomy and practical accommodations, boldly handsome style, and a generous assortment of features and tech, the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe is one of the most appealing crossovers for sale today. It's an excellent choice for Lufkin drivers who want spaciousness and utility but don't need a third row of seats. Of course, the industry is full of crossover options, giving you plenty of choices in the search for your next vehicle. But Santa Fe offers a well-rounded package that's tough to beat. To show you what we mean, here's a quick look at how it measures up against three notable competitors.

Hyundai Santa Fe vs. Toyota RAV4

Santa Fe's capacious cabin offers impressively roomy seating and ample roomy for your luggage, groceries, or other errands. Compared to the RAV4, your passengers will enjoy three more inches of front legroom and hip room, four more inches of rear legroom, and over two more inches of rear shoulder room. You'll also get a few more cubic feet of max cargo capacity with the Santa Fe.

The Hyundai Santa Fe offers significantly more screen real estate than the RAV4, including a standard 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an available 10.25-inch navigation display, and an available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. RAV4's largest display is a 9-inch touchscreen limited to the highest trim level.

Santa Fe offers many appealing amenities and tech features that you won't find anywhere in the RAV4s lineup. Highlights include 360-degree and blind-spot camera systems, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a head-up display, and an automated parking system.

Hyundai Santa Fe vs. Honda CR-V

Santa Fe is appreciably more accommodating than the CR-V, with more front headroom (+3 in.), front legroom (+2.8 in.), rear legroom (0.7 in.), and rear shoulder room (+2.4 in).

Both models come standard with advanced driver aids like collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. In addition, rear cross traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring are also standard on both models.

Santa Fe (191 hp, 181 lb-ft) and CR-V (190 hp, 179 lb-ft) have nearly identical power numbers from their standard engines. But if you're looking to liven up your Huntington commute, the Santa Fe can also equip a more powerful 2.5-liter turbo-four that makes 281 hp and 311 lb-ft. The CR-V doesn't offer another gas powerplant.

Hyundai Santa Fe vs. Nissan Rogue

Continuing the theme of interior spaciousness, the Hyundai provides greater passenger accommodations in a number of metrics. Though the numbers are fairly close up front, rear-seat riders in the Santa Fe will have three more inches of legroom to get comfortable.

Santa Fe and Rogue both offer long lists of advanced driver aids on their base trim levels. However, Santa Fe also includes the road-trip-improving convenience of Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Lane Following Assist. You can get similar features on the Nissan Rogue, but only on a higher trim level.

The Nissan Rogue offers slightly more standard horsepower (191 vs. 201) than Santa Fe. But if you want something a little more powerful, only the Santa Fe has an available turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder (281 hp, 311 lb-ft). Additionally, Hyundai's eight-speed automatic transmission is more agreeable than Nissan's continuously variable transmission.
