The other option is a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with a higher level of production totaling 290 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, and that's exclusive to the N Line trim.

A comparison of interior dimensions

Since the Sonata is a mid-size sedan and the Elantra is a compact, the Sonata has more interior room. The 2025 Elantra measures 184.1 inches in length, 71.9 inches in width, and up to 55.9 inches high, with a 107.1-inch wheelbase. It provides you with an excellent 14.2 cubic feet of trunk space to help you pack anything from groceries to golf clubs. The 2025 Sonata is 193.3 inches long, 73.2 inches wide, and 56.9 inches high. It has a 111.8-inch wheelbase and it can hold up to 15.6 cubic feet in the trunk.
